These days, most of the people have a lot. Not only materially but also love from their parents.

On the other hand, there are many individuals who do not have anything.

I have something more than them. Therefore, I have a mission to help them. That is why I attended to Malapascua dental volunteer.

 

April 28th, 5am, 24students who wanted to help other people went to Malapascua with teachers.

It took almost 5hours by bus and by small motor boat. The bus condition was poor because there was no aircondition bus. Also, the weather was very hot. I felt my skin was burning.

When we arrived in Malapascua, doctors already did their work. Therefore, we quickly found our position.

Some of the students assisted doctors. For example, holding patients head and lighting them up using penlight.

Another work is playing with children. My position was to assist nurse. I gave some medicines for patients and gave tooth paste and tooth brush. We worked for almost 7hours.

 

The next day, we cleaned the sea shore from trash. The time is afternoon so, it was very very hot. We picked trash for about an hour. Work was hard but it was meaningful. I still couldn't forget children's smiling faces.

Also, I felt I am very lucky because I was born in South Korea and I grew up inside parents love fully. Through this chance, I realized gratitude for everything around me. If I have a chance to do it again, I will. I will help poor people continuously in my whole life.
